– Wednesday, January 8th, 2025 = -6˚C / +20˚F & snowing lightly in Atlantic Canada @ 1:34 pm Atlantic Time – On my Cousin Rick’s Birthday –

– “A clean Desk is a sure symptom of a Sick Mind” 🙂 – I tried to smile, one of my favourite cousins keeps accusing me of never smiling. –
— Yesterday I was overwhelmed by the amount of both positive and Not so Positive information blasting into my mind, and Soul? – I felt like I was going to be sick and went back to bed after the love of my life came home from work – She’s been working on Vancouver Time since a landslide blocked a west coast river and the salmon that ‘First Nations’ {{ Canadian Version of ‘Native Americans’ }} depend on for their food could not get up that river to lay their eggs and feed the people { and Bears } who depend on them. – It’s her job to get things going in situations like this to make sure the right people are contacted to make emergencies go away. She hasn’t been appreciated by morons that would rather hire idiots from the Department of Defence up here & give them jobs that they are not qualified to fill and haven’t a clue about how to do things within the laws they’re supposed to respect and obey – She will retire in six months and the stupidity she’s had to put up with will be somebody else’s problem. I conked right out and woke up at three something am ( Atlantic time – that’s like 2 am Eastern Time } – with a definite feeling like the dark side had tried to blast me with a strong message that their side had won and there was nothing anybody could do to stop a new dark age from beginning and turning us all into slaves of their evil intentions.
— I woke all the way up, feeling like I was almost positive that some evil idiotic dark force had tried to convince me with a forceful lie. I turned my head and could not see the person I never felt comfortable calling anything as two dimensional and limiting as ‘my wife’ – sleeping next to me. I thought maybe she’d fallen asleep on the couch and got up, walked to the living room, & Nope, she wasn’t there – walked back down the hall and there she was – sound asleep and nice and warm under several blankets.
— I plunked down in a recliner in the living room, watched an episode of the least obnoxious Disney Channel offering I could find – and then felt brave and went to YouTube and watched a couple shorts and an interview with somebody who’s posted the most positive, hopeful forecasting video blog posts I’ve stumbled across. & It looked like she’d been blasted by negative energy yesterday too – and her take was that what hit us is like the last gasp of a very scared dark side that knows it’s losing all its power over us and wants to convince us that our efforts to create a positive future for the human race are in vain.
— I fell asleep and dreamed I was somebody in Los Angeles next August – a younger guy whose girl friend was worried because her younger brother had gotten hold of an app with his ‘Smart Phone’ that allowed him to teleport and she was afraid he’d teleported himself somewhere he couldn’t get back from – We both download that app and tried it out and found that it was full of glitches, We tried to teleport from ‘my’ apartment to her family home and she got there in 2014, and I got there in 2025 – She told me her family house, which had been repainted in 2017 was back to its old colour scheme, white with light blue trim and shutters. and instead of the mailbox on the porch, there was an RFD mailbox at the edge of the driveway. My Smart phone told me I was five feet South of her but she couldn’t see me. Our Phones had no problem connecting to each other’s phones. I asked her to check her time and date. She said she’d entered what I’d entered, and she was there at 1:15 pm August 3rd, 2014 – and said she knew she’d entered “2025” – I tried again to get to her, reprogrammed the app’s coordinates and popped back in time and told her I’d ended up south of the RFD mailbox on March 8th, 2014, at 11:15 am. I suggested that she take at least four steps north so when I tried to correct the settings on my smart phone I wouldn’t try to materialize inside her. { I had an iPhone, she had an Android phone } She said “okay,” – I entered the corrected information and got to her side a couple seconds before she realized I was there –
— We saw smoke and realized a wildfire was coming down a hill about half a mile up the street.
— She called her brother, woke him up, told him to look out his window, he did, and he said something like “Holy Shit!” She told him to get dressed and grab his evacuation kit.
— She called the fire department and told them about the wild fire coming toward her family home, gave them the address and heard the person who’d answered her call say, “How the hell could you be calling twice at the same time, from the same caller ID?” She shrugged, said, “I have no idea.”
— We walked to the front porch and waited. Her brother came out onto the porch with a soft fabric suitcase that was bulging with a change of clothes and snack food and his laptop computer. We could see him, he couldn’t see us. He was eleven years younger than she thought he would be.
— I whispered in her ear that we must have teleported into a parallel world.
— Her brother looked around in a panic, said, “Where the hell are you?”
— I blurted out, “We came from the future, we must be cloaked.”
— Her brother looked like he went into shock, his mouth was moving, but he couldn’t say a word.
— His sister hugged him, said, “I’m right here-”
— He relaxed, said, “I can feel that – wow.”
— I Hugged them both, said a silent prayer and tried to program my iPhone to teleport us to where I thought I had been on August 8th, 2014. and we teleported to a sign that said Laguna Beach. we Walked to my old pickup truck with its pickup cap that would halve been locked, but I still had a key for it – I texted my old phone number and used a pseudonym to tell my younger self that I was his uncle and asked where he was,
— My younger self texted back, said he was at Laguna Beach { I don’t even know if that is a real place or something I made up } and he’d just broken up with Debby, my girlfriend back then, { she broke up with me like in December of that year. }
— I texted him back, said, “Get to your future wife’s house right now and save her life -” and gave him the address of the house that was in danger of going up in flames.
— My 2025 girlfriend, Her brother, me, – we climbed into the back of the pickup truck and closed the back door to the pickup cap. And we hid there.
— My younger self came running and jumped into his truck, started the engine and drove like a maniac out of that parking lot. I think it took him about twenty minutes to drive to he address I gave him and he parked north of the RFD Mail Box, that my girlfriend thought should have taken at least 45 minutes, in extremely light traffic. My younger self was dodging and sliding in and out of anything but light traffic.
— My Girlfriend’s brother quietly opened the back of the pickup cap and jumped out, walked up beside my younger self.
— A traffic control cop walked up to them and said “Who are you and why did you cross our police line?”
— My younger self said, “What Police line, I didn’t see any police line.” – And my girlfriend’s brother pointed to his home said, “I live here.”
— A Fire Marshall or chief came over and told the cop, “It’s under control, weirdest thing I ever heard of, our switchboard got two calls at once from the same number and when we recorded them one of those calls was time stamped in the year 2025.
— The cop turned to my girlfriend’s brother, said, “We knocked on your door and nobody was home.”
— Her brother laughed, “Of course not – I was down the street at a friend’s house.” He patted my younger self’s back.
— My girlfriend’s younger self showed up driving a Miata and pulled into the driveway, jumped out and watched the fire fighters putting out the embers while smoke and steam rose at least three hundred yards away –
— The Fire Marshal watched my girlfriend’s younger self walk up to her brother and hug him, and say, “I tried to call you, you didn’t answer -”
— The Fire Marshall asked my girlfriend’s younger self, “You live here?”
— She nodded.
— “You were one of the two calls we got saying this house was in danger from a wild fire?”
— She nodded and said, “Yeah, I was at work – I had a weird feeling and checked our security cameras and saw the smoke and called the emergency number.”
— The Fire Marshall asked, “Can you show me your phone?”
— She nodded, had her phone in her hand, showed it to him.
— He nodded, “Okay – that’s today’s date. Our Switchboard reported two simultaneous calls from the same phone number, one of them had today’s time stamp the other was time stamped ‘2025’-”
— She looked very confused, shook her head, said, “I can’t do that -”
— “Both callers gave the same name and they tested the voice prints and they matched.”
— She shook her head, “Beats the hell out of me -”
— The 2025 me and my 2025 girlfriend quietly climbed out of the back of my old pickup truck and closed the cap and could not see ourselves reflected in the pickup’s highly polished paint job.
— My younger self was gazing at my girlfriend’s younger self in shock.
— My girlfriend’s younger self turned to my younger self and laughed, asked her brother, “Who’s your friend?”
— Her brother shrugged.
— My younger self showed them his iPhone with the message I’d sent claiming to be his uncle, that told him that he had to go to that address to save his future wife’s life.
— My Girlfriend’s younger self laughed, shook her head, asked, “Who’s your uncle?”
— My younger self shrugged, shook his head, “I have no idea -”
— She laughed, blushed, hugged him and kissed his cheek.
— He blushed and kissed her cheek.
— She shook her head, smiled at him and said, “I don’t think things could get any weirder today,” sighed and shook her head again, “So – Why don’t you give us a ride down town and hit my favourite taco stand and buy my brother and me the cheapest and best first date food I can imagine..”
— My 2025 girlfriend put her arm around my shoulders, kissed me and said, “Well, That’s different -”
—Her brother picked up the suitcase he’d left on the lawn near the RFD mailbox and tried to put it in the back of the pickup, but the door was locked.
— My younger self unlocked the back door to the cap and let him put the suitcase in the back – then closed the door and checked to be sure it locked itself.
— My younger self walked to the pickup’s passenger’s door, unlocked and opened it – my younger girlfriend climbed in and sat sideways – like between the front bucket seats, Her brother climbed in and my younger self closed the door. He walked around. opened his door, climbed in, pointed to his floor shift, blushed, said, “Uh, if I have to shift, – Um, I won’t be trying to get fresh with you.”
— She blushed, giggled, “Oh darn, I hoped this was going to be more fun than I’ve had in ages.”
— My younger self blushed and started the engine, shifted into reverse, backed up, stopped, shifted again, did a cub to curb turn and drove around invisible me and my invisible girlfriend.
— My invisible girlfriend programmed her phone and hugged me and teleported us to a house on the beach that I’d never seen before, moved a flower pot, picked up a key, moved the flowerpot back in place, and walked to the back door, where I could see our reflections in the glass upper part of the door. She smiled, “I’m too tired to try to teleport back to 2025 – if anything goes wrong, I think I’ll just collapse and cry helplessly – ”
— I nodded.
— Once we were inside, she looked around, smiled, “My parents said they were going to give me this beach house as a wedding present, but when I broke my engagement to the asshole I almost married, they sold the place to some Hollywood newcomer -” She had us pose, took a selfie of the two of us kissing and walked to a colour printer, plugged her phone into a laptop’s USB and downloaded the photo, printed it and left it on the printer. with the 2025 time stamp plainly visible, laughed, “Let them try to figure that one out – and she raided the refrigerator, made us sandwiches, made some coffee, and we plunked down and ate them, turned on the television and watched the news.We both fell asleep and woke up around ten o’clock pm. She turned the television off and turned the radio on and we heard the opening music to ‘Coast To Coast AM.’
— I did not recognize the programme’s host. as he said, “You’re not going to believe this, we got a call just a few minutes ago from a first responder and listen to this, – “Hello – who am I speaking with”
— “Hello- Thanks for taking my call, My name is Anthony Rodriguez – I’m a switchboard operator at the Los Angeles County Emergency call line, and we got two simultaneous calls from the same phone number today – both with the same voice, and we record all our calls, I got one call and Carrie Holiway got the other one – the same voice gave us the same address and in slightly different words told us that a wild fire was roaring down a hill in North Los Angeles and threatening her house and possibly her brother’s life – we relayed the information to the appropriate fire station and they dispatched every truck they had, they got there and put the fire out before it reached any of the houses on that street. And when we looked at the calls that were automatically logged in and time stamped, they both had the same time and day, but one of them had this year’s time and date stamp and the other one was date stamped in 2025.”
— The host laughed, “So I guess Los Angeles will still be here in 2025, right?”
— “By God, I hope so – And another thing – these weird looking guys with government I.D.s showed up, and told us this never happened and we wouldn’t remember it anyway and tried to do something that I guess was supposed to wipe our memories, but it didn’t work – A friend of mine blamed their equipment failure on today’s solar flares -”
— The host asked, “Were there solar flares today? We didn’t hear anything about that – Usually we get a call from one of our regular spies at the State agency that keeps their eyes and ears peeled for solar flare activity -”
— The caller sounded like he laughed a nervous laugh, “All I know I my friend told me there were solar flares today, and I believed him.”
— “Well, we’ll have to look into that, won’t we? Thank you so much for calling.”

— I woke up around nine am and felt a lot better, a lot more optimistic than when I drifted off into sleep – Best Guess? That dream might have taken fifteen minutes or less – But it felt like I’d spent five or six hours believing I was that guy interacting with his girl friend in Los Angeles, where, by the way, I have never been in this life –
