About:

This was an example page that came with this WordPress Blog. I couldn’t leave it as it was. It had a couple lame paragraphs and quotes that gave me a headache.

This is a quote. Here I will tell you that my friends and I are writers and artists, web developers and ‘weirdos’ who see this blog as one of our sort of Magazine-like creative outlets.

Maybe I should use this page as a place for us to introduce ourselves:

Jim With Boston hat

This was me after I made a kind of “Midnight Rangers” run to the Airport in Boston to pick up my Mother and sister and left my hat somewhere and needed a new one. I forget what the Cheshire Cat smile was all about. –

— I’ll let the rest of us decide whether they want to pop a photo in here or remain as anonymous as possible –

“Aerendel Magazine” began as a magazine produced by a community based writers’ workshop in Stratford, Connecticut in the year 1968. The first issue was christened “The Stratford Sound” sort of a pun-like reference to the fact that Stratford is on the southern Connecticut coast- the body of water known as Long Island Sound. { Often pronounced as ‘Lonn G’Island Sounn’ – } The title changed to “Indigo Magazine” when my friend Larry Thomases took over the magazine while I was away trying to ignore the mean, bullying jerks in the US Navy who derived loads of pleasure by humiliating and picking on anybody who couldn’t defend himself. I pretty much burned out trying to let their victims know the ‘real world’ was not as rotten as the bullies wanted them to believe it was. After I survived the US Military and all their madness, I came back and the workshop kept going until 1973 when “Nixon and Ford’s Gas Crisis” killed us because some of our best writers came from as much as thirty miles away and nobody knew if we could afford whatever gasoline might be available after the manipulators raised the price as high as they could get away with – I changed the magazine’s name to “Aerendel” in the 1990’s when I got my first decent printer and a clunky old word processor software package that looked pretty professional when I got it right. We went internet-based after 1995 when I started trying to create web sites using HTML – And now it’s kind of gotten out of hand again and kind of exists in fragments across a dozen or so blogs – and maybe one of these days we’ll figure out how to get everything we want into one blog, but, I wouldn’t hold my breath if I was you —

As a WordPress user, I thought I might hang on to this link to: this blog’s dashboard in case I can’t remember how to click on the link in the widget called “Meta” – Have fun!
