<\/p>\n
It all seemed so simple
\nWhile we basked in Heavenly Love
\n– Guided by the wisdom of Heavenly Beings<\/p>\n
So of course we volunteered
\nto come back down to earth
\nTo save those silly earthlings
\nthat we cared so much about
\nFrom suffering all the pain and confusion
\nthey so readily embraced
\nin their blindness
\nand ambition –<\/p>\n
But the process of birth
\nwiped our memories completely
\nand left us defenseless
\nbefore those Shakespearean slings and arrows<\/p>\n
We were target practice for everything
\nthat only valued power
\nand saw love as weakness
\nwisdom as a hindrance to their fulfillment
\nwhich, of course, they could never achieve
\nanyway –
\nAnd then they blamed us for their
\ninability to become the sole
\nruler of everything they see.<\/p>\n
And when the ones we care about
\nturn and blame us for every little failure
\nin their lives
\nof course it hurts<\/p>\n
If we were mindless
\nunfeeling
\ndisconnected
\nautomatons
\nIt might not hurt at all<\/p>\n
But we are, after all,
\nAngels in Training
\nAnd we feel every pain
\nwe ever wanted to save
\nanyone else from ever feeling –<\/p>\n
And down here
\nwhere the electro-magnetic currents
\nhave intense and negative effects
\non our ability to remember who we are
\nand why we’re here –
\nand, in effect, block out the sun of reason –
\nwe’ve either got to trust
\nThe Heart of the Universe
\nand the wisdom of whatever
\nwe believe God might be
\n– to get us through this –<\/p>\n
